Breast
enlargement surgery is one one the most popular cosmetic surgery
treatments to enhance the shape of the breasts, get bigger breasts
or correct uneven size of breasts.
Boob jobs
is a slang term for breast surgery, breast enlargement or
breast enhancement techniques. Boob jobs and nose jobs are
two of the most popular cosmetic surgery procedures in the
UK.
Breasts may be enlarged by inserting an implant under the
breast tissue or behind the breast muscle. Implants are
usually inserted through incisions in the inframammary fold
beneath the breast. Breast implants may alternatively be
inserted through an incision around the areola or in the
armpit.
Breast Enlargement
By David Chandler
Breast
enlargement is an operation to increase the size of the breasts.
This is usually achieved by placing an artificial implant under the
skin or muscle of the chest. Breast enlargement surgery is a
procedure that has become increasingly common amongst many women,
and people have this surgery for a number of reasons. Many opt for
breast enlargement surgery simply as a matter of personal taste.
They may feel uncomfortable because they feel that their bust is too
small, and in a society where a big bust line seems to be the in
thing they are prepared to go the extra mile to compete.
Breast augmentation video
of a consultation with a 24 year old who lost breast
tissue after childbirth. The video shows before and after photos of
silicone implant surgery on a patient who increased her bust size
from 36A to 36D. The implants were inserted underneath the breast
muscle, giving a natural shape to the breasts.
Some women opt for breast
enlargement surgery because they want to go into a particular
profession, such as modeling, exotic dancing, etc. and they feel
that a larger bust will help.
Others have breast enlargement surgery
for less superficial reasons, perhaps due to differently sized
breasts or to correct the breast volume after pregnancy.
Reasons for breast
enlargement
Aesthetic or
cosmetic reasons for breast enlargement include: Feeling that the
breasts are simply too small or out of proportion. Loss of breast volume after pregnancy.
Difference in size between the two breasts.
Breast size that has reduced after losing weight.
Breast enlargement
is usually done under general anesthetic and may be performed as a
day case, without the need for an overnight stay in hospital.
It is important to
remember that breast enlargement does involve surgery, and any
surgery involves an element of risk. Although this procedure is
performed every day and usually without problems, there are no
guarantees with any type of surgery. There are risks regarding
the results of the surgery for instance, the result may not be
all you expected, even after paying out a large sum of money. In
addition, there are more serious risks, such as infections,
hardening, swelling, and scarring.
The main question when considering breast implant surgery is which
size of implant to choose, and whether to have silicon or saline
breast implants.
Silicone breast implants are pre-filled with
silicone and require a surgical incision large enough to insert the
size of the chosen implant. Saline implants only require a small
incision as they are inserted empty and filled with saline after
insertion in the breast. Learn more about
